PHARMACOLOGY REVIEW FOR THE NCLEX/RN/LPN
Our one-day live lecture presents information about the most common meds a new graduate is
likely to encounter in the clinical area. To facilitate the student’s learning, drugs are grouped into
major categories. Once drug categories are learned, it becomes easier to relate specific meds to
those categories or groups. Drugs uses, side effects and nursing implications are reviewed.
Over 100 of the most common meds currently used in health care are presented in an easy-to-
understand chart format. These are the meds that you are most likely to encounter on the
NCLEX RN/LPN. Other topics covered include: Role of the Nurse in Medication Administration, Different Methods of Administration, Factors that Affect Client Response to Medication, IV Therapy, Commonly Used Abbreviations, Measurement Conversions, Meds Iinteractions and Herbal Therapy.
Emphasis is given to calculating dosage of parenteral medications.
New NCLEX-format questions are integrated throughout the lecture and 100 NCLEX-style homework
questions with answers and rationales are included in the study booklet to enhance and reinforce your
understanding of pharmacology.
The Pharmacology Class is a supplemental class to the FNR RN or LPN Nursing Review Course,
and is available as a home study course or live lecture series. If you can’t attend a live lecture, please
consider our home study products.
